Beauty Changes Lives is a foundation, a nonprofit organization focused on making careers in the beauty industry a top choice. They make sure to support the upcoming generation of beauty professionals through scholarships, mentorships, and opportunities. It’s 2024, and they’ve launched the Beauty Changes Lives Scholarship for the Winter season. This scholarship is for students who want to pursue a career in Cosmetology and/or Barbering and identify as Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC).

Beauty Changes Lives Scholarship 2024

For the Winter 2024 season, the award amounts for recipients are as follows:

• One (1) Cosmetology/Barbering Student Scholarship of $15,000
• Two (2) Cosmetology/Barbering Student Scholarships, each of $5,000

These scholarships are given out during the Winter 2024 season, which is open from December 15 to February 28.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for The Beauty Changes Lives BIPOC Cosmetology/Barbering Students Scholarship, you must meet the following qualifications:

1. The applicant must identify as Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC).
2. The applicant must be at least eighteen (18) years old by the start date of the program at the accredited school or institution.
3. This scholarship is available to both new and currently enrolled students in a cosmetology and/or barbering program that leads to licensure at an accredited school or institution in the United States.

Beauty Changes Lives Scholarship Requirements

To apply, you need to follow these requirements:

1. Fill out the online application and provide proof that you are enrolled or have been accepted into a cosmetology/barbering program at an accredited school or institution.
2. You need to upload one of the following documents: an enrollment document, an official acceptance letter, or a progress report from an accredited school.
3. Create a YouTube video, no longer than 3 minutes, with a public link. In the video, answer the following questions:

• 1. Why is the beauty industry your passion and why do you think you should receive this scholarship?
  2. How will YOU Change Lives through your career in Beauty?
  3. What is the inspiration for wanting a career as a cosmetologist or barber in the professional beauty industry?
