All submitted documents become the property of Brandon University. If you are in your final year of high school, you must also include a letter from your principal or designated official attesting that you will have completed high school before the start of university.

If your transcripts are not in English, they must be translated by a certified translator, accompanied by a note indicating that the translator received the documents in a sealed envelope. Both the original official transcript and the translation should be sent to the Admissions Office.

Be advised that if you have completed any coursework at a post-secondary institution, your admission cannot be based solely on your high school records. Kindly make sure to include all of your post-secondary education in your application.

Upon receipt of your application, you will receive a document request email detailing the necessary documents to be submitted which are:

  • West African Examinations Certificate (WAEC)
  • or General Certificate of Education
  • NECO

1. English language proficiency test scores

Scores for English language proficiency tests must be sent in a sealed envelope from the examination authority, except for TOEFL, which can also be submitted electronically directly through TOEFL (ETS) if preferred.

2. GCE

To be considered, candidates must have passed five different subjects, with at least two subjects passed at the Advanced level. Alternatively, candidates may have passed four different subjects, with at least three subjects passed at the Advanced level.

Note:

  • Two Advanced Subsidiary level courses may substitute for one Advanced level course.
  • Four Advanced Subsidiary Level courses may substitute for two Advanced Level courses.
  • One Advanced Subsidiary subject is equivalent to one Ordinary level subject.

3. WAEC

Candidates must have a minimum of 5 subjects at C5 or better, including English and Mathematics. A scratch card must be purchased and the following information must be sent in a single email: name, serial/PIN, examination number, and exam date with year.
